Gorgeous flower. I like the deep coloration on this compared to the Malayan....The form is more pointy and star shaped.

Yes and my dad has a Malayan too which looks different! So wonderful to have species to compare with. The wonders of nature.

You and kaede have knock-outs phals! Our postal service here in the US is not doing well but I do feel that if they could get your photos on our stamps, it would benefit all of us. We host a variety of subjects on our stamps as I'm sure most countries do,but oh my the exposure to orchids would be awesome!

Well, DeaC, orchids are always in Singapore stamps, even in the banknotes, coins, etc. The national flower is a Vanda as well.

I think it's best for US post to use native American orchids, like these :

Kaede I only realised after your tetrapis post that you are in Singapore. Where is Seasonal Mart? I get my orchids from Song orchids.
