Leslie, is there any orchid that you cannot grow into a beautiful, blooming plant? Another lovely example of your ability.

Thanks all for your kind kind words. It has taken me over 25 years and the 'loss of my weight in orchids' to learn how to grow orchids well. I am also lucky to have great orchid friends in SOOS (Ontario Orchid Society) to whip me into shape lol.

There are a few orchid genera that I have tried and failed: Masdevillas, Draculas, Telipogons... Hmmmm maybe one day if i just keep trying and trying... Or buy a professional cool tank!

And also the 'hard to grow into specimens' dendrobium cuthbersoniis! I have attempted so many times but to no avail!!! But I will keep trying!

Noticed the pics were a bit overexposed due to afternoon light. So retook at sunset ...

Looks like ox blood colour now. Yikes!

Picked one up in Puerto Rico last July. Still hasn't bloomed. Would you mind sharing your techniques and environment? The only thing I could tell from your photos was that it has not been re-potted in a long time, and that the areal roots are healthy.

What is your pot size?

Medium?

Type and amount of light?

Environment/Humidity/watering protocol?
