Default Phal. malipoensis and honghenensis

My first Phal. malipoensis bloom! I had never seen one in person, I was so surprised at the size of the flowers they are tiny about half the size of Phal. Lobbii. The leaves also have a silver sheen similar to that of gigantea.

honghenensis is part of the hotly debated Aphyllae section of the Phalaenopsis. Photo doesn't show it very well but flowers have a yellow green boarder

Good job! How cold do you keep them in winter? Mine resumed spring growth, but it looks like that they are not flowering this year. I am wondering warm 65F winter is the problem.

about 62f at night to 70f during the day. I find watering is key, keep it wet enough that is doesnt drop its leaves but not too wet

I love both of these species - good growing!

When your malipoensis gets more size on it you will get multiple spikes each bloom season. They can also bloom from the same spike for a couple of years.
