I got a nice bastianiback a while ago and its done great its got two nice spikes and its growing nice babies on both spikes but it wont flower almost every thing I have is flowering but no bastiani I dont know whats up any ideas ?????????
From my understanding, orchids grow keikis, because the mother plant isn't getting something it needs. So, if you have keikis, I think the thing to do is wait until they have three or four good sized roots, that are several inches long at least 3 inches I think, then pot them.
That doesn't mean your mother plant will never flower, but it is missing something it needs, if it's giving you keikis instead of flower buds.

Not always. Especially with some species, and bastianii is one, they like to make keikis for no reason at all. Equestris is another and there are probably more. But if you could provide more details about its enviroment, it might help with getting good advice.
