Phalaenopsis mannii and mannii
Here's a mannii
And another one (a lot of diversity in the flowers, but only managed to capture 2 very similar)
This one has a bacon scent…

I'm trying at the camera for more than a month, these curved/shiny leaves are hell! ^^
The normal mannii wasn't cooperative, flowers in every directions etc. A lot were much more yellow than the 2 or 3 pictured here. And the mannii "black" is a new flower, even better than those before so I'm pleased it went great capturing this one. So thanks a lot

As I commented on another forum, I love this one. Interesting your comment about the fragrance being bacon... not sure if I would like that in a flower.
Can you clarify with is the 'black'. As I said on the other forum my 'black' looks more like your lower flowers, but quite dark. Not like the first one.

This link shows mine. I start to wonder if mine is miss-labled.

Both are mannii, the "black" is just a surname I gave and anyway it's not recognized botanically. It's supposedly a standard mannii, now there's doubts in the phal taxonomy world that the black, mahogany, chocolate… are pure mannii.
The other one is just a standard mannii too. Flowers go from mainly yellow with little reddish to brownish spots to near "black" quality. A total mess
I keep in a corner of my mind there may have been genetic pollution(s) higher in the genealogy, especially in the asian nurseries that are not minded by adding a little bit of this or that to enhance botanic phals.
This said, mannii is very variable…
About bacon, well, it's moderate to strong, but not the worst. It's just surprising such flowers have a smokey pig scent…

Thanks. Mine was tagged as mannii 'Black' which I took to be a cultivar name. It looks most like your last picture.
I interesting about the asian nurseries. Not good for those of us who like to know parentage of what we have. Oh well
