Really like how you mounted yours. Mine is on the verge of blooming now. Can see the little purple stripes inside the closed buds. Hoping it will open any day now! Congrats on the spike! Can't wait to see it open!
Excited for you Howeze! Looks like we need patience as they seem slow to bloom. I had a standard Sedirea that took 4 months to grow its spike and bloom. I hope this one, being a mini, doesn't take as long.
The moss mounting is a potting technique borrowed from Japanese Neofinetia growers. Seems to work well for their Sedireas too.
Nothing special Joyorchid. I've been growing it under a couple of T5's by a south facing window and moved it to a cooler windowsill facing west late this winter. I was hoping it would make it initiate a spike and it did. I have more humidity by that windowsill too.
