Default Phal. schilleriana

This is my big schilleriana (I showed a picture of my Phal. schill 'select' x self, earlier) and another of my mottled leafed monster spikers... These spikes are so much in the way... If you only knew how much I'm cursing them every time the pots tip over (can't mount them, otherwise that would be the ideal solution for these danged Phals), I almost poke my eye out with the spikes, accidentally smack the spikes into everything... Guh...

Anyway, it has 26 flowers and a bad tendency for falling over. I'm going to sell this schill since I like my 'select' x self better (the foliage is prettier and that one is fragrant, which this one isn't). I don't know if my other schill will ever flower this much though, only time will tell.

Beautiful and obviously very well grown. Good job. Placing that plastic pot inside a heavy ceramic pot while it's in bloom could help to keep it tipping over.

It is very pretty but I agree...fragrance is better.

Wow! Gorgeous!

I like the look of unstaked spikes, but may be more manageable if you staked?

Fantastic!!! In hoping for a nice spring bloom on mine. It's got three spikes. Two are stalled though.

I really love the shape and form of your plants flowers! It's great. Too bad about the fragrance. Let me know when it's up for sale I'd buy it!!

It looks really gorgeous with that long unstaked spike. I can see how it would be difficult to manage though.

Last time I had one that kept tipping due to the flower spike curving over the edge, I put it in a heavy base pot, and then pot stones in the bottom of that base pot as well. I still had to be careful of it, but it did stop it falling over all the time.

Its really beautiful. Question, do schill flowers last long like hybrids do (12+ weeks)?
