Well so far the idea of not moving it from it's usual spot is working. A second flower on the first spike, a third bud forming on that spike, and a second spike also forming a bud.

Beautiful Rosie!! Seems its usual spot is its sweet spot!

Just wish the spikes on these were just a bit longer so the flowers didn't get caught and hidden underneath the leaves, which happens so often.

Yes, they do seem to get caught, especially as this one has a big leaf that curls over slightly. Oh well, the next flower seems to be developing further out

Stupid question- Are bellinas or fragrant orchids on general only fragrant when they bloom or are they always fragrant? I saw some photos of the bellina and they seemed to have very waxy leaves so I wondered in they always smelled like from the leaves too?

Also, why did you used to move the plant? Temperature?

I only get a fragrance when it's blooming, perhaps just after . This one has a sticky sap coming out of the stems just behind each flower. I'm not sure if it's that which is fragrant as I've smelled it just after the flowers have dropped when that is still around.

I used to move it to the living room simply to view it there. Most of my flowering orchids move there to enjoy the blooms. This one though usually lives in higher light than my living room gets (and than my standard phals get) and just does not seem to like the move... aborting the flowers every time I've tried.

This has just opened the third flower on the first spike, and the first flower has just started looking like it's drying up. The second spike is still growing it's first bud. This is now the most flowers I've had one one spike of this so I'm really pleased

Seems to be working so far. It's got it's third flower open on the first spike (a record for me). The second flower from that spike is also still open, and it's working on a 4th bud on that spike.

The second spike has it's first flower open and is also working on a new bud.

Leaving it in it's "happy place" seems to be working to get the flowers to keep going for longer

Sounds like you have found the magic combo. Keep doing what you are doing with that beauty.
