Default violacea (KF#1 x Blue)

New acquisition. This was so hard to get the color right. It is as close as I could get. Actually is more the color showing at the end of the sepals. Has that great vio fragrance of course!! Hope you enjoy!!

Thanks for looking!

It's gorgeous! I've got two magenta violacea that had one blue parent. The blue certainly makes the color vibrant.

Gorgeous!

Of course the colour you see on the computer can depend on the monitor, so it might not look the same on mine as on yours. In fact I have two monitors on this machine, and one is always dull faded out colours (I've tried adjusting and this is the best it does). Just moved over to the second monitor and that has very very vibrant colour (in fact orchid board looks garishly green/yellow on this one).

On the duller one your flower looks more purple, on the brighter one it looks more pink. On tapatalk on my phone it looks more pink as well. I know when I've spent ages getting the colour right in a photo, I then look at it on another screen and it's completely wrong... so unfortunately you never know what other people are seeing in the colour of these things

I try and take this into account when looking at pictures. I know what colours my photos of orchids show up as on a given screen so try and mentally judge flower colours I see here based on that. It's almost impossible to know colour for sure from computer pictures though
