Phal. bastianii s sib. in bloom and weird ring markings
I bought this in spike. It is blooming now.
I am very concerned about the chlorotic spots on the leaves and the circular ring areas. They have raised and depressed areas. I think I may need to send a sample to Critter Creek

It looks to be some sort of cell colapse but not sure why it might have happened. Hopefully someone will have more advice on that.

I think I'd have it tested also. May be a fungal problem though.
I think I'd question the name on the label also, looks more a hybrid that straight bastianii.

I would still get it tested, but it kinda looks like mites (they don't always present w/ spider-web like stuff I have found) my bastianii got attacked by mites last summer/fall, it's not doing so good now, but the damage looked similar to this.... Those a$*#%@&! Really liked my bastianii

Use a miticide, not an insecticide.

I didn't even realize there were such things as miticides for plants.
