this is another raffle table winner. Last year in november I got it. Its from Normans Orchids. Our table was all Normans that night. I will say they all looked pretty good as I dont want to give Norman any bad press. He gets enough of that for himself.

and doesnt need any un earned.
another slow one to bud and bud okey I almost got blooms this time to show you..and this one might not make it to the show for the flowers. I left it in the cheap clear plastic pot with the old sphag moss bec I was moving at the time and just left it alone. Its Growing like a weed.

heres the buds . has 8 of them. its a first time blooming plant. A Bloomin Size plant from Normans that is blooming now

it usually stays outside but everythings inside right now as its cold. you see it here with the masdys getting ready to break out with some blooms.

this plant loves being sloppy wet for how I grow it and the roots are about to bust out the pot..Next week Im betting I have some pink butterfly blooms

R.J. I just got 2 of those from normans a couple weeks ago, they are both very nice plants but...I see that yours has a little crack starting on the leaf down toward the base. I didn't notice it when it first arrived but now I see that both of mine have that and now yours too. Any idea what causes that?...Jean

The cracks IMO are just the leaves being really heavy but thin. They needed some support and I got little sticks holding them up now. The flopping of the leaves back and forth and side to side in the breeze flex them and eventually they will get stressed at the critical points. I can see no other reason for this as the plant is very healthy. Im thinking just big heavy leaves. Its not been dried up at all so thats all I can think of.
