Dave - as for mounts, find the biggest one available, at least 30cm x 30cm would be ideal.
I use fern bark slabs for all my mountings instead of cork slabs because of their water holding feature.
Cork is way to dry for my liking.
Now to potted, I only have one gigantea potted with moss and I would be mounting it up soon.
It came like that so I left it as it is, didn't want to stress it so soon.
Then came the spiking and flowering which only delayed the mounting.
I am never comfortable with 100 % moss, I like watering my plants and this huge pot of moss can last anywhere from 5-8 days.
This is after I made holes around the plastic pot.
Giganteas are indeed awesome, even if they don't flower.
Love those huge majestic leaves and cannot get enough of it !
Do post your pics of your gigs Dave, doesn't matter even if they are not in bloom.
I've seen one in Taiwan with 14 huge leaves !
