Made another change to my Phal lindenii. I actually found where it really is happy... believe it or not it's on a small Kool-Log that I fill with rain water every day. I also keep it's back to the light/window. It has only been on about a month and I have a new spotted leaf and a bunch of roots. I am so happy!!! I went from crown rot and poor growth but now I think I've got it.

Nice. Thanks for sharing, as it just so happened these kool-logs have peaked my interest in the last few days. Great timing on your part.

how's this one doing, wintergirl?
How's yours, bud? mine's mounted on cork, a seedling, that is just now starting to spike! but omg, if it takes 3 months! I'm growing it outside here in LA, supposedly it can handle the cold, but i guess if not til december will the flower open, it'll have to go inside... what humidity levels are you guys keeping it at? Mine has handled 100 degrees and down to mid 50's so far, with humidity down to teens, with extra spraying here and there... tough cookie, crossing fingers... one of my fav phal species |
Post pictures when it blooms....I think my orchid plant is sulking. It should be spiking or blooming by this time....so far it is growing bigger and with more roots....I give it the care just as my other Phals....

Congrats on the spike. Mine's doing great. I don't think I have any spikes yet. mine is indoors still on a Kool log. The humidity in that room is always above 50%, mostly 60 right now.
