Default Phalaenopsis pulchra

I've had this plant for a few years now, and this will be the best bloom yet... it has 6 buds... It sure is a slow grower for me, but its well worth keeping! I even like the buds before they open, they are shiny purple, and they kind of remind me of grapes.

Gorgeous! I have a seedling pulchra and I can only hope the color will be as awesome as yours when it finally blooms! How big is it? I'd so love to have a timeline to look foward to for my first spike

Does yours have any fragrance? It's listed as being fragrant on the Species Database but it seems so variable.

Yes mutant, Pulchra can have trichromes! Why the hate on a barely hairy lip. It's not like tetraspis or anything.
Great flower though. Has yours thrown and keikis? These guys tend to flower, keiki, the flower and repeat. Love them!

Thanks for the nice comments

No Mutant don't sell it! Trust me, its well worth keeping. The hairy lip is barely noticeable because the lip color matches the petals... and besides I have a hairy lip also... does that make me less lovable?

Sithwitch, the plant really isn't very big at all. I'll post a pic showing the whole plant. It's in a 4" pot and has 3 spikes now with two of them in bud. there is a nice sweet fragrance also

Zxyqu, mine does have 1 nice size Keiki, you should be able to see it in this photo.

That's great news for me! Mine might bloom within a year then Also, yay fragrance!

But I also can't help but notice the huge phal leaning over behind the pulchra, reminds me so much of my first orchid ever. Still there, trying to get out of it's 8" pot the same way! Think they're trying to get back to Borneo?
