Phal equestris var. coerulea

Another little premiere bloomer, another equestris, but this time it's one of my var. coeruleas that is blooming.

I was surprised at the amount of yellow on the lip on this one, I can't really say I've seen any other var. coerulea with this much yellow before. However, I like the shape of the flowers and the very faint lavender blush on the "nose" and petals, as well as the yellow on the lip.

I think it's very, very cute.
