Just scored big!!!! 4 spike phal. Amboinensis var flava!
Hey guys I have been looking at one of these for a little while and couldn't find one mature size. I saw one at big leaf but missed out on it.
So I was eBay hunting again and saw a flava that was mature size but.....missed out AGAIN! So I looked at the listing and clicked see more like this and found one from the same vendor that is a 4 spike plant!!! I have ordered from this vendor before and the plants are amazing!! I am so excited to get it!! The last plant I got from him was a four spike Bastianii that Had four had to clip two of them and now it's set 2 new ones already.
Here is a pic of the plant from the eBay page

They are quite long and a little narrow right? It had a rough shipment about 3 days in last weeks heat so it's quite droopy and has lost a leaf and the newest leaf was snapped. It's spikes are well intact though but the buds blasted. I repotted it in the smear pot but with some moss so it can recover.
I will post picks when it starts blooming

Nope the spikes are at a stand still, very sad! The good news is that the leaves are back to normal. No longer droopy they are as erect as they should be and plump. I'm sure they will get going again soon I hope.

I'm sure the spikes will re-start growing. Keep us posted as that's going to be very beautiful full of blooms!
