Hi all!

I'm especially proud to present you this plant because it's the first one that i got in a flask and managed to bloom - and almost in a year! It's quite a milestone for me like 'man, i really can do it'

March 2011

June 2011

June 2012

Foliage:

And here starts the spike:

I'm a bit confused looks rather like a Phal. Samera to me but either way i'm happy with it.

This one is very high on my wish list. I'm not doing bad at all with hybrids and my only species (equestris) is also doing well so I'm thinking on switching to species instead of hybrids. Since they're smaller I can have more of them in the same space.

Def not a bellina, but much closer to Samera. What is the scent? Fruitloops/candy or cinnamon/spicy? That should help out with which side of violacea/bellina it's on. Really nice coerulea/indigo color on it though. Also, superb in blooming a year out of flask. Was that a 2 plant flask, and those mount pics taken right after mounting?

Very inspiring! Maybe in a year or 2 I'll give a flask a try. It seems so labor intensive to me.

Gorgeous bloom! And congrats on getting it to bloom only a year out of flask! You must grow them incredibly well.

Wow! That's a great bloom. Haven't taken on a flask challenge yet. Your success sure is inspiring. I ought to try it one of these days.

Not to encourage you Jane, but Thanh has a new coerulea bellina flask available right now. I bought one of the same types at Redlands. Just take the plunge

You are such an enabler! Gosh I'm tempted now...
I am not familiar with Thanh. I'm curious what the price would be.
