Thanks Gloria. I must have missed it when he sent us the list. He's promised to come back some time next year, so this one is on the list for pre- order. I have a phal. Ahasi from him and it's also a great little article. Paramount used to have it, but not any more.

The plants are all cheap at that show. It's the annual show of the Dutch orchid society, and while there are a few professional vendors there, the bulk of the vendors are amateurs like you and me who propagate orchids for the fun of it and then sell their plants cheap at this show. I can usually walk away with 7-8 outstandingly healthy orchids for under 30€! So I always look forward to the first saturday of october!

Perhaps yours is just a young plant and it needs more time?
Is it still settling into a new environment -- How long have you had it?

Ezil, not that hard to find around here. I got mine from Patrick at Kingsfisher -$35 beanos'
I have no idea how old my plant is, but not that old, the largest leaf is a bit under 4 inches. I've had it almost 8 months now. I'm just surprised that it's not growing a new leaf yet, seems like all my other Phals are busy with some now. But when I got it it was really very very pale, almost yellow leaves, from being grown under very high light. The leaves are a nice light green now, but perhaps it got a bit stunted from the high light?

Insects and mites are always active! Even in the winter the orchids still get the same conditions (bright and warm under the lights) so yes, mites can happen...

Very pretty! I like those phals that rebloom on old spikes. You can eventually have several blooming spikes at once.
