Gorgeous plant! I'm really interested in this species, but I'm a bit concerned about temps and humidity. Is it a picky plant? My humidity can go down to 25% during the winter, but it comes back to 45%+ during the summer.

Thank You for the visit.

*its not a picky nor a delicate plant but if you follow Phalaenopsis culture, you can never go wrong.

I suggest you invest on a portable 1 gallon electric humidifier with a small fan attached to the top; it can be of help especially in winter.

Default rebloom 2014

I am good at following advice....I didn't cut the inflorescence but lost one that went dry and browned on me; but then again two new spikes have appeared and notice that the light shade of the lower petals have gone darker green unlike the pronounced almost white shade of the earlier flowers. The flowers are bigger this time, vibrant deep green color and thicker shiny waxy petals.
I decided to pot this orchid plant in clay pot as opposed to be hanging in a basket due to humidity issues in my apartment building.
It had grown almost double and the spikes have grown longer and fat.
For a time I thought it will suffer from 'mealies' but I bombarded it with soap alternated with rubbing alcohol....that survived to be healthy and bright!
