Default Phal. equestris

I got this latest little addition to my equestris collection in a trade together with a Paph villosum.

This is a monster keiki and when I was offered it in exchange for the Ilocus and Blue Lip I had ordered for the owner of this equestris, I jumped it!

I've uploaded it together with a picture of the last flower on my first premiere bloomer so you can see the differences.

The first picture is of the "old" equestris and the second of this newest addition (the flower has not opened completely which is why the shape is a bit off):

Since I'm partial I like the colours on both, but the first is special since it was one of my first species Phals, and the first to bloom too. It's VERY cute.

I thought so too when she suggested she pay me in plants instead of money. I'm very pleased with my little octopus (it got that nickname due to its VERY long and a bit of all over the place roots) and Paph villosum.

Beautiful blooms ! This is funny: I have your exact first flower specie...and I traded it for a philippinensis because of the mottled leaves(I posted it not so long ago)...

Haha! That IS funny. But why not have both? Like I do. I have a baby Phal philippinensis standing on my windowsill and it's just lovely with its mottled leaves.

And oh I forgot to say that it is my favourite, and first/oldest of all my equestris, and u better be nice to it ...or...I will... hihihihi

U probably will notice the scent from it, soon, and tell me what u think about it... I think it smells like some acid... smell it in the förmiddag, especially when it has been sunbathing for a while.... But be careful to expose it to too much direct sunligt, it migt be too much before it has established in its new pot and environment.

Orchidthief veeeeery nice Svenglish you got going there. I'm going to feed it to my cats! Moahahahaha!

Nah, just kidding. I can see why this is one of your favourites and I was so happy when you offered this guy to me in the trade we made. The flower is soooo cute.

It's being protected from direct sunlight even a bit more than the others since it's behind a window frame. I really love both the shape and the colour on it, especially the yellowish colouration on the lip.

As soon as my nose is snot-free I might be able to perceive its "acid" fragrance.
