is this one of the parents for those "japanese koi" phals I have been seeing online?

The only thing I know for sure is that it comes from Taiwan.

WOW!!! That is gorgeous!!! Yes, this is high on my wishlist as well! Yours is a beautiful plant! I had no idea about the humidity either...
Just a thought, but have you tried putting it in a terrarium? they dont have to be fish-tank sized, it could just b a big jar... or find a cloche... something along those lines... i found a huge old cloche at a flea market a few months ago... haven't fig out what to put in it yet, but maybe this species would work
