Two budding species. Male
Default Two budding species.

Hooray! I am finally about to get some blooms here, after a nice summer of growing, (and a winter of buying in the case of the venosa ) This is the monster tetraspis 'C#1' that I got from Pat at Kingfisher Orchids last summer, and it had a huge amount of spikes since then, and I think it has made two new spikes and a few branches since then. It's a monster, I tell you! (Even though this species is relatively small)
A picture for you!

And here it is after I staked some of the spikes.

Thankfully the venosa that I got from Ten Shin Orchids in Feb has started to make two buds on its spike and grow a few roots instead of blasting a spike or sulking.
Full plant shot.

Hmm, I thought I had a closer picture of the spike, but you can see the buds.

I'll update this thread when they bloom. Maybe sooner to update on the venosa buds.

How many spikes does that tetraspis have?! Is it trying to take over you closet?

Nice growing there Cody!

That's one happy camper for sure. Oh, and I just noticed the two big, fat, and very healthy looking roots growing also. Very nice!
