It is, but you probably need it. it'll stress the plant, but might want to think of just holding out for a basal. Or, if the plant doesn't have too much sentimental value, finding yourself a new one. But I'd try the treatment anyway, as it seems the only choice, short of the pull up jumper into the trash bin.

Ryan, get Clearys 3336F. It's a great fungicide. All I've done with Phyton 27 is kill plants. You can get the Clearys on amazon.

I've also used Cleary's with very good success on the very same plant. I have that mystery phal fungus/virus that doesn't really have a name going through all my Phals. The speciosa C#1 was the first to sucumb to it. It lost all of the diseased leaves, and at one point had no leaves. It's bounced back nicely and now has 4 very healthy leaves and a new spike that has not bloomed yet.
To the OP the photo of your buds clearly indicates to me that this is the C#1 cultivar. How exciting for you! speciosa...tetraspis....whatever! One day the taxonomists will decide what this one really is! In the meantime I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. If you just say C#1 everyone know what plant you mean.
Oops, meant to say that Clearys requires full protective gear. Safety glasses, mask and gloves. It's a wettable powder so definitely not something you want to inhale by accident!

It's not so dangerous once it's diluted, but I wear disposable rubber gloves when I make a batch.

Agree with Jayfar. Gloves and preferably use outside. Consider a mask, but can also just hold your breath while you spray. Make yourself a handy small spray bottle, and use as needed.

Finally giving you all a photo of this one. It's been under mite attack, so I haven't really had time to get back to take the photo. That said it looks to be fine now, but I'm sure it stalled any blooms I was going to get. However, 3 made it just fine. It's an interesting flower, regardless of the name. Enjoy.
