This is the 2nd time blooming for me. It's not considered a show stopper, but it's one of my favorite phals.

Yes it is. Having said that: it never gets below 10C in that terrarium, and once the spike is well on its way, I put it in a warmer area. It grows with the phal lindeni.

That is a show stopper in my book. Did you see the colors and form? Its beautiful... the texture and shape is not like any other ordinary Phal.

Nice! lindenii has been on my wishlist, if I can ever find one, and braceana has now been added to the list! The warm growing Phals don't much like me - I keep the heat set quite low 
Does this one tolerate short periods of heat ok, do you know? |

I would say: yes, it does, providing there is sufficient air flow and humidity. I have my cooler growing phals. in a clay pot, and can "double: pot if necessary. They don't seem to mind the occasional heat wave (they don't last more than 4-5 days here). Hopefully this helps.

Cool! Thank you! Generally our heat waves are of fairly short duration - We also have the benefit of temps dropping a good deal at night, so even when it's blistering hot during the day, we get some respite from the heat.
