corningiana vs sumatrana
Looking for advice from the experts here....
Aside from fragrance, are there any other floral characteristics one can use to distinguish corningiana and sumatrana? Christenson's book wasn't really helpful in this regard. He mentions the scent differences, and also states that once you have seen true corningiana, there's no mistaking the two. Well, let's say you haven't seen true corningiana....then what do you do?
When I google for pictures of both species, there is a lot of overlap, some of which I'm sure is due to misID as well. Corningiana is rare in cultivation, and many sumatrana are labelled as corningiana.
Any thoughts guys and girls?
