Default Phalaenopsis lobbii

Seems like it's the 'season'!
Here are a couple photos of mine. It has not flowered for 3 years as I nearly lost it to crown rot. She has been living in a terrarium for just under a year (and has been remounted onto a bigger piece of bark) has now rewarded me with 2 spikes! here is the 3rd flower to open. I had a couple buds blast as well, so have now stuck A4 white paper to the back of terrarium & seems to be working as buds no longer blasting and this flower opened yesterday.

Theres so many buds! The flower is delicate and small...I love that it is white...I am glad you rescued it from all its plight...three years is a long time for a Phal. to bloom...but then again it underwent a lot of strife

Congratulations and nice save. Mine has never produced such long spikes, or as many blooms. You are doing well. What is the white paper doing, increasing light??

Thanks I'm really happy with this save....
Tindo - the white paper decreases the light intensity as terrarium in front of a window (50cms away) and at the moment pretty intense on days with cloudless skies... I usually double up the curtains (white nylon net curtains) but I find it is too early in the year to do this seeing other plants need more light, so I opted for 'shutting out ' the light on the spikes/buds.... and it seems to be doing the job ... here's a few shots to show what I mean...one this am and 1 just now..

I see, I thought the paper was in the back of the terrarium, not infront. Thanks for the pics!

Default UPDATE

My idea of blocking the light seems to be working! Stopped the bud blast.
This is the first time I have ever had so many flowers open all at once! The 5th bud is opening today and the sixth is also getting ready to open this week.
I just hope the first two stick around a little longer.
I am convinced that direct sun rays on flowers shortens their blooming life?
Here are a couple shots taken this pm.

Wow, really lookin good! Looks like you've solved your blasting problem with the paper. I'll have to keep that in mind!

I like the first pictures: lobii sitting on that pillow, like a jewel...
