Over here you get that info from city hall, must be the same everywhere I guess. But since I also have an aqurium, I used the water test kit to look at the pH and hardness of my tap water. Hard water is usually indicative of high amountd of calcium and magnesium.

You can look it up on the internet. Just Google the name of your city and water quality. Ours shows that there are small amounts of everything, but I'm not sure how much is good.

ok cool i will check that out!

i repotted the Bellina today. I was deceived about the amount of roots. it was mostly moss. it has a considerable amount of roots but not enough to go the next size up, but since i tore all the moss away i went ahead and put it in a clay pot of the same size with bark mix. i went to my local greenhouse and they did not have any moss so i used what i had.

I should have soaked it in some lukewarm water first cuz some of the roots snapped like an icicle but its OK. I'm happy with the job i did.
