Default Phal. tetraspis 'C#1'

YAY!!! My spike loaded Phal. tetraspis 'C#1' has finally decided to open its buds! It did have three visible buds developing, but one got knocked off. Thankfully there is still plenty to come, as there are several spikes that are trucking along.

Here is the smaller bud showing the classic randomness of 'C#1.'

Here is the bigger one that is now starting to open.

Now, today, here is the smaller one, with the colours quite developed, and probably a few days from opening.

And the opening bud.

I love it! I've wanted it myself for a while now also. I like your photo sequence.

tetraspis or speciosa? Mine, yet to bloom, got renamed by the vendor (Norman's) after I bought it. I think there was a debate on the Big Leaf forums a while back which finally settled on the C#1 being a speciosa (with some dissention). Beautiful orchid by any name of course.

EDIT:

Big Leaf Orchid forum - Phalaenopsis speciosa - the true species??

Big Leaf Orchid forum - Phal. tetraspis & tetraspis var. speciosa

Or maybe it is tetraspis and there are NO surviving speciosa anywhere?

Ok, thanks so very much. Now I have to dig out the wish list and give in to putting this one on it. I have been seeing these posts and thought "what's the big deal". Now I am starting to see the big deal. Where will I put THIS one????? How do you all think it would grow mounted?
