Default I Got a Phal Mannii For Free Now What?

Hello All! I Lost my New Red Cornu-cervi to rot this summer so i got a new one! it was supposed to be in spike but they couldn't locate one for me so i opened my box this morning and there are two plants in it!!!!

I immediately thought i got the wrong order so i called them and said I ordered yesterday and i have two plants instead of one! and they told me its because we did not find the red Cornu-cervi in spike we gave you one not in spike and the Phal manni Flava.

I was like "Hold up" Seriously? Thank you so much!!!! it's not everyday that you get a free plant!!! and non-typical color form of a plant too boot!!!

How do take care of this Little guy? Is its care any different than the other phals? Rest periods or any thing like that? how often do i need to water? Thanks guys for the help!!!!!!!

The first thing you should do is send it to me !!!

Mine is just recovering from whatever I did or didn't do so I've no help for you, sorry. It DOES require a cooler winter I read so I'm trying that.

You'll find that Quality Vendors will do that if they make a mistake or you are not happy with what they send you. Notice I said QUALITY vendors !!!

Everything i got from them are some of the best plants i have ever seen in my life! gorgeous and very healthy! its a NBS Mannii with 2 plants in the pot. very strongly rooted!!! This is the only place i have ordered from that consistently has plants with amazing root systems! Normans is second.

I have a mannii 'black' and I keep it about like my other orchids, except it seems to like more moisture than the others.

It seems to like it's roots always green, it still dries between waterings a bit and I always drain it well as with every other orchid and make sure it's never left sodden... but if it gets as dry as my others it's new leaves will start sagging noticeably to the side.

I've only had it since the spring, but it's grown two big new leaves for me (bigger than the older ones) and it's been growing roots, and seems happy with my care. I do worry about watering it as much as it seems to like and I carefully check the roots regularly, but it does seem to like being moister.
