Oooohhhh, and I wasn't supposed to be buying anything else from vendors this year! Hmmm, I might just be making one more order from them, and of course I am going to have to get others to keep them company on the way to my place!

Cody - I like your way of thinking, I was about to order a Phal violacea from Big Leaf Orchids yesterday but instead I ordered a compot.

I'll be checking this out right away! And since it makes more sense to combine items as far as shipping is concerned.......... I'll just pretend that I don't remember ordering from them earlier this year.

Lol. Its hard not to get carried away, especially when the prices are awesome and the plant quality is great (and you live in the middle of "Orchid Nowhere" like I do!).

I wouldn't sat that! We have a thriving Orchid Society here and the Muttart Conservatory houses the Orchid Species Preservation Foundation, while Paramount Orchids is in Calgary. It's just that I seem to be more interested in minis and those are harder to get.

Merlyn, I'm quite sad to hear that, having myself some basal keikies that I would have liked to split from the mother plant.

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I didnt mean Alberta was "Orchid Nowhere", I just meant where I am, and thats my excuse for excessive online orchid purchases. I wish we would get an orchid society here!

Thanks for the link! Sadly, the closest one of those societies is 18 hours away! I am in a city called Thunder Bay, up in Northwestern Ontario. We made the drive a few years ago to the Manitoba Orchid Society's annual show, and it was paradise!! I could have spent forever in there! Even that is an 8 hour drive.
