Sorry to hear the news Cody, It happens...but I'm sure you will get a bud to flower! Look forward to seeing the next one buds flower.
I have always kept my violacea in more 'humid' conditions than other phals.How do you grow yours?

I don't think it's cultural, as the hum. is about 60-70%, and my violacea var. Sumatra be bloomed all three of its buds. I just think that some times the first bud blasts without any reason at all, it's probably just a hiccup.

Did anyone check for mites? Commen problem for bud blasts. My buds we're blasting one by one, found white mites.
Might be worth having a looky

Thats Terrible!!!!!!!!! It happens! im sure it was just a fluke thing!!!! it will get its act together soon im sure!!!!

Funny how the flowers we want wait in anticipation for, seem to blast and delay further our satisfaction!!! But when they do bloom its a natural high!!!
