Ahhh, one of the joys of having more orchids is MORE blooms! Oh, I can't wait until all of the young'uns grow up and bloom, as a good half of my collection is unbloomed, and there is only a few I have bought in bloom.

Ughh! Well, I thought I would finally let you people know why I haven't posted an update in a while. The verdict is finally in, and the current bud is going to blast. I saw it turning slightly yellow and get ever so lightly limp about a week ago. I held my breath, just hoping that it would be fine, but today I can really say that it is a goner. Thankfully, the inflorescence is still growing, so there will be plenty more chances for this one to bloom. I will continue with the photo updates when the next bud has reached the size of the current one.

It is sad. I think I have the same thing going on with my bud on phal fasciata - it sort of stopped growing and getting a bit yellowish while spike continues to grow.
There are two more buds on two other spikes, but I don't know now if any of those will survive.
I don't have a lot of experience with those - why does it happen?
