Thought I'd update you on this lovely little flower. This is now it's 3rd bloom from the first spike, and flower Blue color has definitely gotten more blue. Initially the only blue/purple in the bloom was near the column, now the bluish purple fades nicely into more of the lower sepals. Flower about the same size, so no improvement there. Anyway, still smells of cinnamon brooms and Big Red

Very nice! Maybe it's the photo, but the first bloom seems more purple than the one you just posted.
Nice shape, I hope my Norton strain will be like that when it grows up! 1 year of until blooming size said the grower, but it looks more like 2 or 3....

Camille, you're right about the picture and the color. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the really diffuse blue/purple tones to come out. The pics look better in natural light, but it washes out the diffuse color. The black background shows a bit better the colors, but it's a tough call. I'll take another with black and see what you think.

That's the problem with photos, it's hard to accurately capture the true color. Then there's the issue of the screen used to view the pics. On my laptop I sometimes adjust pics a bit so the color is truer, but then if I view them n a different computer, it's no longer at all the same thing!
