Might be able to sell his pollen

Yes I've been watching it since shortly after it was posted. Interestingly enough, I had just seen Ramons pics of three that he recently bloomed which included this one. Was shocked to see it being auctioned, but one of his other ones was even better than this if you can believe it!

That was a beautiful flower for a 1st bloom and the money wasn't way out of line for the quality when you consider that there was a vendor who had some (Krull Smith breeding line)selling for $500.00

I believe Ramon is also a member here. I've seen some of his posts before. Seems like a knowlegable nice guy.

Al, if it were me (actually it was me a couple of years ago) I would just buy one straight from the Nortons. N0799-N0808 are the only ones not ready to ship. The earlier crosses are available. They are super nice and they have great plants. My Blue Chip x self has done really well in the 2 years I've had it and it's judy sent up it's very first spike. They appear to be pretty vigorous. I had to call to order. http://www.orchidview.com/Blue_violacea.pdf

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and recommendations. If I decide to get something from the Norton's I'll post it. Almost have myself talked into paying that kind of money for a plant.
