thanks for sharing ryan -i see that is a large plant what is its leaf span and i could see that you are growing on LECA.how is your experiences with this medium as to Schills? would you recommend? and how often do you water in this medium ?The leaves looks marvelous...mine i just repotted them to an 8 inch pot but changed my medium to charcoal and coconut husk dont know what is up for me yet but so far its growing good.

The leaves are probably 8 to 10 inches long. Yes I am using semi hydroponics to grow this plant and it has done well except for once incident where i made a mistake and the plant paid for it. The plant is on the mend now. It grew well and quickly in s/h. And yes I would recommend it.

just an update everyone thanks to all the nice comments im sure all of your plants will grow big as well and heres the pics of the Phals schilleriana that i repotted to an 8 inch pot and still growing and hoping to grow them as specimen size plants.Also i have included photos of all my phals in our patio .what do you think guys and gals?

here's the other one that did not upload

everybody is potted and suspended to a 6 inch pot ring but have to adjust all of them now and repotted to an 8 inch ring. i have to put some on the table because of all the spikes..
