Bob,
I store orchid pollen wrapped in paper in a air tight container with a silica gel packet and have had viable pollen for well over two years.

Very nice. Are the leaves ok though?

Thanks. Yes, the leaves are fine. It's a unique leaf trait I've only noticed on a few Phals such as lobbii and deliciosa.

I have both lobbii and deliciosa, and I have not noticed this undulation on either. Conditions perhaps?

"Many Phalaenopsis species inhabit the riversides or the edge of marshes in the tropical rainforest, where a high level of humidity is maintained regardless of fluctuations in rainfall. In this environment, the leaves develop relatively thinly and often have undulations (P. modesta, P. fimbriata, P. javanica). In the rainforest, due to the multiple vegetation layers, a wide variety of leaf morphologies can be found, despite being at the same point on the map." - Morphology and Taxonomy
Forgot to mention that my javanica and modesta show this trait. Appendiculata grows near rivers too.

Thank you. I had not experienced this before. If my plants do not show this morphology does that mean I am depriving them of optimal conditions?

I live a couple hundred feet away from Lake Superior at the bottom of the hill. Humidity is pretty good this summer with the windows open. I don't grow in a greenhouse, just windowsill. Probably going to get a cold mist humidifier for the winter. If the leaves look healthy, I wouldn't worry about it.

You guys got me wondering, I went out the greenhouse, lo and behold look what I found. Both Phals lobbii and deliciosa with wavey leaves.
