Are speciosa 'C#1' and tetraspis 'C#1" the same?

Yes they are. Formerly known as Phal tetraspis 'C#1' has been identified by taxonomist Dr. Leslie Garay as Phal speciosa 'C#1'.
The red colored sepals or petals will show up when plant is grown in bright light and warm temperatures. It can also produce flowers that are near to all white - usually in the winter months.

Here is where I get real confused... I've seen some "tetraspis" that have reddish barring like the one on IOSPE. Others will be white, like mentioned. Then there are the ones that have red petals and sepals, with some remaining white. So would the barred tetraspis actually be speciosa var. tetraspis?

As per phals.net by Alain Brochart the tetraspis with barring is also known as speciosa var tetraspis.
"Synonyms:
Phalaenopsis speciosa var tetraspis (Rchb.f.) Sweet, Amer. Orchid Soc. Bull. 37:1092. 1968"
But since so much has changed in recent years that could now also be considered invalid.
There's a great discussion about speciosa versus tetraspis here:

Thanks for the link, it was a good read.
P. pallens
This was originally labeled as "psilantha" at Orchids Ltd., but I was told it is actually "pallens" by Matt. They were next to each other, so it must have been a labeling mistake. I started another thread on "psilantha", but thought I should contain it here.

I'm 23, and I'm an orchid grower.
But you're right - not a whole lot of people our age grow orchids.
