Thanks guys.

It's potted in small grade bark mix that has pearlite and charcoal. It's a pretty fine mix so it retains moisture a bit more than the larger grade mixes. Sounds like yours is going to put on quite a show!

My favorite Phal, yours is cute!!
They do tend to bloom when they're quite small, all the keikis I've gotten have spiked within a few months of being removed from the plant.

I used to have 8, but lost half of them last year in the package that disappeared en route to the orchid sitter. One was the 'orange' version, which is quite expensive I also lost my 'blue lip', pink 'apari' and a peloric one.

mine is in sphagnum moss. it just opened its first bloom today ill get pics after i figure out this ant problem **grumble*
