Default Mounting a Phal. tetraspis ?

I saw a pic of this species Phalaenopsis, and fell in love. I would like to get this Phal. and mount it since it appears to be a 'miniature' and would go nicely along with my mounted Aerangis and Angraecum.

Is anyone growing this Phal. mounted .. ?

Mine is smallish but not what I would call miniature. I'm growing mine in a pot.

I agree, I would not call this species a miniature. I keep the two I have in pots, but I have seen some that are mounted and look great. Either way, they should grow fine. Mine currently has a leafspan of probably around 11 inches.

I've seen this grown mounted before but the plant itself didn't look all that great. I think it was challenging to keep it moist enough to stay happy. Granted, that's just an anecdote.

Edit: I totally didn’t see that the original post was from 2011

Like the others mentioned, it really isn’t a miniature. They actually can get to be quite beefy. I have a near blooming size one that is mounted on a tree fern plaque and doing well, but it is more dependent on your conditions than anything else. I have lots of rain and super high humidity (and a lot of heat which these seem to like...) most of the year. it will get heavily watered once or twice a day in the summer and once a day, sometimes every other day, in the winter. So it just depends if you can keep up with the watering needs easily

Here’s a video of a nice one for Orchids Ltd. for a size reference. If you are looking for a mini, do you have a Phal. equestris?
