It's already getting a lot of light. I have it under lights with other phals, and most of those have purplish leaves from the light. Unless it needs even more?
how about try to relocate it somewhere and lessen the TLC you are giving the plant. the plant might sense a threat and would possibly initiate to spike. :)

Camille, what a patience you have! I check mine daily for any signs of activity even though I just got it two months ago!:rofl: It has two very long spikes that aren't doing anything, and a cute keiki that also just sits there. I'm thinking of potting it separately in spring.
