Hi Mr Lin,
That's such a lovely flower. A couple of weeks after I got my Phal Gigantea I discovered it had progressing root rot so it's in recovery now and your site (assuming you're the same Peter Lin!) has been a fantastic source

An outstanding gigantea, Peter!

So... are you using the toothpick for proping up the shy flower, in the process of orchid sex, or is it there for people like me to just ask questions?

Thank you Jenny. Yes, I am the site owner of Big Leaf Orchids, named after the big leaves of Phal gigantea and Phalaenopsis in general.

Ted - I pollinate this flower before this photo is taken.

This is a photo of the same plant from last year.

Phal gigantea usually produces cream color flowers that mature to chartreuse/light yellow as flower matures. I am looking for ones that opens light yellow and matures to golden yellow over time.
