Nice one, Ben, and excellent photo! I assume you got this from HP and Katherine at the meeting yesterday? They had some really great stuff, I wish I had more room (and money) for new plants right now. Do you mostly grow species Phals?

Hey,
I got it from them a few months ago. I bought one a couple years ago and I liked it so much when it bloomed, I bought a couple more.
I collect mostly hybrids, but I like amboinensis. If you were at the meeting yesterday, they showed a lot of pics like the one below, They used mine and some from a friend.

Ahh, sorry, I shouldn't have assumed! I saw one for sale that was from the same parents as yours and I made an (incorrect) leap...
In any case, those are some great amboinensis! Is the alba/flava one also from Orchidview? Your pictures were great in the presentation, BTW.

Thanks! Glad you like the pics.
The yellow one is Joy Spring Canary 'Joy.' I bought it from Peter Lin at Big Leaf Orchids. Its one of my favorites.
I heard that HP's talk was great. I would have been there, but I had to work. You are lucky they came to your society. They don't venture out much anymore. I've been to the Asheville show and the people are really nice. The Asheville area is so unique.

Ahh, another swing and a miss! I have GOT to stop assuming things I really should be asking about... In any case that is a really nice plant!
The talk was fun and HP and Katherine are wonderful people. They brought many amazing plants; I'm a big fan of the work they've been doing. I do feel lucky to have gotten the chance to meet them.
How long have you been a member of BROS? My Dad was pretty involved with them about 20 years ago. At the time he was one of the youngest regular members, sadly I think many other members have since passed away. I have a lot of great memories of going to meetings and shows around the region with him. Does the society still meet at that old mansion in Roanoke?

Killer photo. A good subject helps, but your pics are always stunning. Keep it up, Ben.
