Woow, it's quite similar to mine that bloomed a month ago (but it's preparing a new bud).
As I can see this species usually blooms one flower only, is it? Or does it depend on the age of the plant?

The image is no longer available for this post; and mine is in bloom!

Purchased from Lucky Girl Orchids in Idaho in January 2016, it had then and has now too many spikes to count.

The flowers don't seem to want to open all the way as they are weighed down by the leaves. Mounted on tree fern then and now.

My phals are in a south-facing window and get more than the usual recommended amount of light, though it's often filtered by trees.
