Default Phal equestris v. cyanochilus

I've got 2 cultivars going right now. The first is from the United States and the second from Asia. Makes for an interesting comparison.

These are great, Sue. Interesting to see the differences. I had heard rumors that all cyanochillus were decedents from one plant.

Those are great looking! Well done for both of them. I prefer the lip color of the second one, the colors are brighter. I love equestris and I used to have a large keiki of cyanochilus. Sadly I'll never see it bloom since I sent it to a friend to orchidsit and the post office lost the box....

Thanks everyone . I like the stronger blue and the hint of blue blush on some of the petals on the Asian one and the yellow on the U.S. one. In fact the entire flower on the U.S. one is quite yellow when it opens, then fades to more of a white color.

I have had the U.S. plant longer and it has 2 basal keikis, but has not produced a spike keiki. The Asian plant is still young and this is its first blooming, so I will have to wait and see.
