Default New to Orchids not sure what kind this is...

I bought this Orchid from Lowes today and I am not to sure what kind it is. The tag said Phalaenopsis but thats all it said. I also lost the tag that came with it so I got to look up the care on this plant again.

Unless its a famous hybrid, it will probably remain a NOID plant ( no identification). Most of the time hybrids are just to complicated to give a name to. And since you bought it at lowes, it is 99% chance that it is a hybrid.

Do all of the phalaenopsis orchids pretty much have the same requirements or do some require different things?

Some require different things, but its not like other genera where the differences are vast. Some like a little more/less light, some like to dry out a little more between watering, but nothing extreme.

This one doesn't require anything special. Give it good light and water, and it will do great.

It looks like a standard NoID hybrid Phal and as others have said it is unlikely you will ever find a name for it. Even if you find one it looks like you can't be certain that's what it is because there are so many unregistered ones out there.

But NoID's are just as pretty, I have lots of them and love them just as much. Yours is really pretty.

There is a Phal care sheet here...

This is what we call "Chinese New Year" Phalaenopsis over in Singapore, they are hybrids imported in massive quantities during the Lunar New Year.

Most of them do not have any I/D as they are just exported in bulk and most vendors don't bothered keeping their I/D.
