thanks, just started growing not too long ago... It was all thanks to a local 'master' who taught me a lot of their culture... If not I'd still be killing lots of plants amidst my confusion...

Shawnchen89 - just beautiful.
I've had the same type of bellina for a number of months now. It's growing really well and putting out new leaves and roots. I can't seem to coax the little guy to throw out a spike.
Any suggestions? Those flowers are stunning.

For bellinas to spike, they need slightly higher light... I usually bring my plants over to the farm to induce spiking before bringing them back to my apartment...
what are you growing your bellinas in? most of mine are mounted on fern bark slabs..

Interesting... I'll make a move to a sunnier spot - thanks for the tip.
Mine are in a bark, charcoal, pearlite mix. I just don't have the condition to mount them (though I'd love to).
Thanks again.

i realised most of the people here like to use potting mix for their phals... over here in sg, most of us mount our phals cos it's too humid and the roots dun really do well in pots...

I've been drooling over red cornu-cervis, and have been looking for one in the US. Stunning!
