Talking Mottle-leaved Phalaenopsis list?

Hi all!

I'm trying to track down Phals with mottled leaves. I have stuartiana and philippinensis. Mottled Phals are my absolute favorites among the species (with the rest coming in at a VERY close second) and I'd love to get more of them. It can be hard to track them down though. Despite their beautiful leaves, most pictures only show their equally beautiful flowers.

Could people post names (pictures are ALWAYS welcome too. ) of Phals with leaves like this so I can make a list? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Again, I already have:

Phal. stuartiana
Phal. philippinensis

Its a bit early for a list from me. LOL
No collection of Mottled leaf phals would be complete without at least one P. schilleriana.
There are two varieties, the light pink version, P. schilleriana and the darker pink, P. schilleriana var. purpurea. I recently read that they have been combined now. I have three of these, two of the darker variety. I don't know how, in the future, you will be able to distinguish which one you might get when ordering or buying.

Oh, you might be on the look out for P. Naples Night. It's a hybrid but has beautiful leaves and is a medium sized plant.

Al
[EDIT] Just to tease you a bit more, a mature schillie can have 250 blossoms at once on branching spikes.

I have one! It's Phal Wiganiae (schilleriana X stuartiana). It has gorgeous mottled leaves (and is in spike now!! ). I don't have photos since Nicole bought it for me and kept it while it was in bloom. But this is what it looks like: orchideen-lohoff : phal Wiganiae

Wow Camille, you sure can see the P. schillie influence in that one. It's beautiful!

Another hybrid i've got with mottled leaves is Pinlong Cheris. I think the clone is 'Fragrance #2'

Thanks for the replies! Al, you're terrible! Like I need any extra teasing to add to my collection! And I even know where I can get NBS schilleriana seedlings for $6, though ANY orchid purchases are going to have to wait for more space and more money!

Camille, that's a lovely bloom. Schilleriana and stuartiana make beautiful children.

I didn't see much mottling on the pics I could find of Pinlong Cheris, Undergrounder, but it sure is a floriferous little gem!

Phalaenopsis celebensis also has beautiful mottled leaves. Recommended for cooler growing. I grow mine in a hot temperature but somehow magical drop in temperature make it spike with 1 flower only. T_T

Greenbeam i have a few dozen seedlings of Pinglong Cheris and they're all strongly mottled... but i'm not 100% sure which clone it is. Each clone is different. I'll check.

EVAN, If you can still get the NBS P. schilleriana plants for $6. each I'll take six, you can keep two for your trouble and you send me 4.
Are you up for it? PM me and we'll work out the details.

I checked, and yep all thirty something seedlings i have are heavily mottled.. it's Pinlong Cheris 'Fragance #2' specifically.. Neither Pinlong Cheris 'White' or Pinlong Cheris 'Frangrance' have the mottling.

If you go here you can see some faint mottling, although you have to quint. It's much darker on my seedlings:
