hi everyone. i bought a phal bellina from a nursery about 2 months ago.it is in a clear cup.i can see its roots and they are freshy green however it is not growing or producing new leaves.i keep it with the other phals that are flowering at moment. i don`t know what i should do differently.
How are you growing it, and what conditions does it have? I don't know if you have other species phals, but if you don't, usually the species need higher temps than most of the hybrids. That could explain the slow growth. Some plants also sulk a while if the growing conditions are completely suitable. With more info it will be easier to help you!

hi there i keep my phals and catts by the window.they get afternoon sun.summer in london was warm enough and water them regularly so i donr undsrstan why there is no new leaves.here are some pics.
I'm not a big Phal guy, but from what I understand Phal bellina is a summer bloomer. It could just be on a different "schedule" than most of the others in your collection.
Keep in mind also that on windowsills at time of year growth slows down a lot since there is less light and it's cooler. Most of my phals (hybrids and species) do their leaf growing between April and September.

I would suggest bumping your light up a bit if possible. I find all my Phals, but the species in particular do better with more light. Just slightly less than Catt light. That said your leaves look nice and light green just like they should. It may have just finished maturing a leaf before you got it and is taking a break.
