I have a couple burgundy violacea type noids and their really nice plants and smell wonderful. The blue violacea is georgeous, I would really like to have one. But, sadly they are out of my price range for now. I guess, I will just admire yours.

They can get pretty busy these days. If you haven't heard from her Sat, shoot her a reminder. She will joke with you that she is getting old and sometimes can't remember if she answered a mail or not :-) They are wonderful people.

What a gorgeous set of orchids!! I love blue orchids, and to see it in Phals blows me away. Congrats on the blooms to both of you. And now I want some too.

Hey everybody. I got Katherine to send me a list of what they had available. It seems quite a few of you are interested.

Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in Orchidview, and I don't benefit in any way from posting this. My only reason is that some of you are interested in these, and I thought I would help you out. I think they are awesome and everyone should have one

N0230 Phal. violacea ‘Gulfstream Blue’ x self
N0385 'Rachel’s Blue Eyes’ x ‘Gulfstream Blue’
N0436 ‘Blue Genes’ x ‘Indigo Blue’
N0446 ‘Blue July 4th’ x ‘Gaston Bleu’
N0559 ‘Blue Chip’ x self
N0560 ‘Bonnie Blue’ x ‘Blue Beard’

I think pictures of several of these are on their web page. Seedlings are $35 and larger plants in spike are $100. She sent me a Word page with some info, but I didn't copy it all here. If you are intersted in a copy, email me. One of the seedlings I bought in May is already spiking. Post your pictures when yours bloom!

Thanks Ben. Katherine emailed me today with the same list. I'm still undecided but am looking for the closest to true blue as I can get. I'll look at some of the pictures.

I chatted on the phone with Katherine the other day, what a nice lady she is! She was telling me about the tall ships sailing into Charleston harbor. Sounded pretty cool.

Anyway, I have a question for those of you who have bloomed these blues. As the flowers age do turn pale in all the crosses or just some?

Katherine tried to send me some pictures but they never came through. I think maybe the file size was too big or something. I did find after some googling a Phal. photo library at Big Leaf. Here is the link. It has some pictures of some of the crosses mentioned.

Hmmm... I'm trying to think. I've bloomed several, but I can't remember which cross they were. I'd say they all fade eventually. I'm trying to think if some do quicker than others, but I can't remember.

If you'll send me your email, I'll forward you the pictures from Katherine. She sent me several the other day, and I figure they are the same ones.
