I hope I can grow them as well as you and get them to bloom.
Hey, luckygrower, did you get yours from the Norton's, too?

catgrrrl,
Yes , I did buy them from Nortons, 2 of them were in sphag and 2 in a bark mixture, as soon as I get my order from Ray I'm going to put the 2 that are in spag into S/H. I currently have 7 violacea or bellina in S/H, with 2 in spike. They must like S/H.

Thanks so much, luckygrower. I am going to have to check them out... (I'm in SO much trouble!)

I just ordered from Orchidview! I got (another) bellina and 2 of the blue violaceas. I told Katherine that I had no idea which of the blues I wanted, but I asked her to pick the 2 most fragrant of the bunch. I LOVE fragrant orchids.

I am very excited - but THIS is going to be it - for sure! No more purchases until at least next year - after I see who survives the winter and who does not. (I hope they all survive - but I must admit some are more of my favorites than others.)

This board is SO dangerous!

I can't seem to get a return email from Katherine. She answered my initial question and I told her I wanted the bellina but need more info on what blues they are currently offering. So far no reply.

I'm sure she will get back to you as soon as she can.

I emailed her yesterday afternoon and she wasn't able to get back to me until after 5 p.m. I responded to her last night and she got back to me first thing this morning. I then called her to stop trading emails. So, you may want to try calling her, but I'm sure she will respond as soon as she is able. Good luck, quiltergal!! I know you will have success in acquiring one.
